Thank you for your support on Giving Day. Because of your help, our community raised over $64,000 to support our students who are facing the rising cost of living through student awards and bursaries that help keep education accessible. Your donations have made a real and immediate impact.
Thank you for being a champion and helping to inspire a brighter future for our college community.
Thank you to this year’s matching donor – Pathways Alliance
Our friends at Pathways Alliance have committed to match every gift dollar for dollar and any gift to the BVC fund (student awards/bursaries) will be matched up to $100.
The Bow Valley College fund is used to fund student awards across all departments and schools, including the Chiu School of Business, School of Health and Wellness, School of Community Studies, School of Creative Technologies, School of Foundational Learning, and the School of Global Access.
This fund will be used to provide emergency support to students who are facing food insecurity.
Student Services is happy to bring back our very popular Soup Social. This important initiative aims to break down barriers to students accessing food. It sees students coming together once a week to enjoy a hot bowl of soup and a bun. Students build a sense of community by connecting through games, colouring, and music. Students have expressed huge appreciation for the gift of a meal. It takes about $700 to feed 150 students, and the demand is growing. Please help us continue this great initiative to reduce food insecurity!
The Financial Need Bursaries fund helps provide emergency financial supports to students who have found themselves in a period of financial hardship. The fund helps alleviate the barriers that financial stress can have on their studies.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, in 2022-23 Bow Valley College was able to award over $1.6 million in student awards and bursaries. Over 800 students were able to use these funds to pay tuition, buy books or schools supplies, buy groceries, access transportation, or pay for other items necessary to help them complete their education and give them a pathway to a brighter future. The impact that your gifts have on our students is real.
